Merchant Payments Manager
Overview
Cervion Systems is a fast-growing provider of Merchant Processing & Point of Sale computer systems primarily for restaurants. We are a team-oriented company focused on providing excellent service to our customers.
We are currently seeking an experienced Merchant Payments Manager with proven sales, communication and analytical skills. The ideal candidate will have experience managing a portfolio of merchant processing accounts along with excellent attention to detail, the ability to prioritize tasks, great customer service skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, and a general technical aptitude.
The Merchant Payments Manager works collaboratively with the Cervion Sales Team, to generate and close new business, increase margins within the existing portfolio, and enhance overall financial performance.
Responsibilities Include:
- Manage a portfolio of clients that use Cervion for Merchant Services.
- Identify areas of opportunity for revenue building within the portfolio.
- Daily review and analysis of merchant processing statements for both existing merchants as well as prospects.
- Works with and assists the sales team to generate and close new business.
- Oversee and optimize our merchant processing standards and operations. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the merchant processing department.
- Continuously builds knowledge of all things merchant processing. Stay up to date on important items within the payments industry.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with our merchant partners and vendors.
- Support for the Sales & Executive Teams.
Candidate Requirements:
- 4-year degree from an accredited institution in Business or Finance.
- 5+ years of experience in a payment processing role.
- Advanced knowledge of payment processing regulations and compliance.
- MUST have prior experience managing a portfolio of merchant processing accounts.
- MUST be able to read and interpret a merchant processing statement.
- A team player with an ability to easily interact with others.
- Quick learner with good work habits.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
- Works well under pressure with the ability to handle unexpected events in a positive manner.
This position is located in our Orangeburg, NY or Plantation, FL office. Standard office hours are 8:45 am – 5:30 pm.
